Privacy Policy
Pet Diary ("Paw Log", "the app") is designed to keep your pet's memories private. This policy explains what we do — and mostly don't — do with your data.
What stays on your device
Your journal entries, notes, photos, videos, pet profiles, streaks and settings are stored locally on your device. They are never uploaded to us and never leave your device unless you explicitly share them yourself (for example via the share sheet).
What is sent to our servers
When you use the AI features — the personality reveal, AI captions and the daily horoscope — the app sends the text you provided (name, species, breed, quirks, quiz answers) and, when you attach a photo, that photo, to our backend solely to generate the response. We do not store your photos or generated content on our servers.
Third-party services
The app uses:
- RevenueCat — to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat processes your purchase history and an anonymous app-user ID. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.
- Apple — App Store purchases are processed entirely by Apple.
- AI model providers — requests described above are processed by our AI gateway to produce text.
Notifications
If you enable the daily reminder, the app schedules local notifications on your device. They are not sent by us and we never see whether you opened them.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, the updated version will be posted here. Questions? Contact us through the App Store support page for Pet Diary.
